Daniels leads Schellinger, Thompson in gubernatorial survey

Gubernatorial candidate Jim Schellinger issued a news release today boasting of $2.4 million raised in 2007 for his campaign. The release mentioned a poll from November showing the Democrat with a modest 4 point lead over incumbent Mitch Daniels.

Ignored by Schellinger was a more recent survey sponsored by the Republican Governors Association. In that poll Daniel's outdisanced Schellinger by a substantial 15 points. The poll also indicated that Jill Long Thompson had a better chance of unseating Daniels. Thompson trailed the governor by 13 points.
